It's About Time The Case Took Center Stage

The Tiger Sharc concept is one of Arcanaut's premier novelties for 2023. Both this model and the Bonehead are completely original, but take the Arcanaut mantra of discovery in different directions.

For the Tiger Sharc Arcanaut is developing their very own Zircunium Titanium composite created by a special guest star from the United States, who uses a modernised version of the centuries old Japanese technique called “Mokume Gane”.

The material will be similar to Damascus (or Timascus) but less visually chaotic. In the initial material tests, the material’s serene striping reminded us of a Tiger Shark’s skin the second they saw it. The name fell into their laps moments later.

The goal with the Tiger Sharc is to celebrate the completely unique case form of the Arcanaut Arc II. While Arcanaut's focus has long been using unusual materials in new and interesting ways on dials, it would be crazy to suggest the case silhouette isn't equally as important to our brand identity. Perhaps more so. Therefore, it was time to take it on a journey of it's own.

Experimental Collection

Sometimes Aranaut has some pretty crazy ideas that take a long time to bring to life. They've decided to pursue these ambitious projects under the "Experimental" heading, because, truth be told, we're not entirely sure what we're going to discover in the process.

Lead times are long (around nine months for Experimental projects) but the buy-in is low (just 10% of the retail price is required to secure your place on the list).

Everything in the Arcanaut Experimental Collection is produced in very small batches. For our inaugural Experimental releases, they've decided to make 33 pieces of both models. This enables Arcanaut to plan our production timeline more efficiently and free up more time for creativity.
